Treatment at Back2Balance

Treatment is typically structured over an initial course of six weekly sessions to help establish balance and restore alignment within the body.

Progress is reviewed at each appointment. In some cases, improvement may be achieved sooner; in others, a longer course of care may be needed depending on how your body responds and the nature of the concern.

Once stability has been achieved, we will determine the most appropriate maintenance interval for you. For many clients this is monthly, although frequency varies based on individual needs and lifestyle.

Back2Balance uses treatment which specialises in re-establishing the Alignment of the whole body, to provide relief from many painful conditions, such as headaches, back and joint pain, sports injuries, joint stiffness and restrictions, and nerve entrapment. Because our treatment techniques can be very gentle, we can offer treatment to people of all ages, from babies to people in the later stages of life. Our low level approach treats the whole body, not just the symptoms. Once your initial problem has been stabilised we believe it is important to return to the clinic for regular checkups and treatment of your alignment and spine as part of maintaining good health. We also believe in educating our clients on how to become part of their own health solution, to prevent against illness and injuries before they occur.

Prevention is better than Cure

Ongoing Care & Maintenance (MOT Appointments)

Many clients choose to continue with maintenance appointments once their initial concern has stabilised.

These sessions are similar to an MOT for your body — helping to maintain alignment, monitor changes, and support long-term comfort and function.

Frequency varies depending on individual needs, lifestyle, and activity levels. Some clients attend fortnightly, others monthly or every six weeks, while some prefer to return as and when they feel they need support.

Regular check-ins can help manage the physical stresses of everyday life and allow small imbalances to be addressed before they develop into bigger issues.

Many painful conditions arise from a loss of alignment and stability within the body.

The body works as one connected system — not as separate parts. When one area becomes misaligned, the body adapts and compensates in order to stay upright and functional.

Over time, these compensations can place increased pressure on joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves, leading to discomfort, stiffness and reduced function.

 Our Approach

When alignment and stability are disrupted, the body can begin to compensate. Over time, this may contribute to discomfort such as headaches, joint and back pain, muscular tension, nerve-related symptoms, and reduced mobility.

At Back2Balance Therapy, we focus on addressing the body as a whole — looking beyond where symptoms appear to understand underlying structural imbalances.

Your first visit includes a detailed case history and assessment of your alignment and weight distribution. This provides a baseline, which is reviewed and monitored throughout your treatment plan.

Treatment is tailored to your individual needs at every session. Techniques range from gentle to more specific approaches depending on your age, health, and presenting concern.

We also believe prevention plays an important role in long-term wellbeing. Once stability has been achieved, regular maintenance sessions may help support spinal alignment and overall function, alongside healthy lifestyle habits such as movement, nutrition, and breathing.

Throughout your care, you’ll receive practical advice to help you take an active role in maintaining your own health.

Prevention is better than cure.
